SPRING CONTEST RESULTS
About 50 farriers arrived in Walla Walla for the Spring Challenge Forging Contest. Clinician and judge Jim Quick gave an informative clinic to start things off, emphasizing quality in every day work as well as efficiency in shoe making. The contest was held in rounds, using the nine forges and anvils belonging to the school. Jeff Engler did an amazing job of keeping things running while Steve Redenbaugh diligently worked through the paperwork. The 35 contestants were evenly divided into the three divisions, the anvils were hot and the forges hotter! The winners were:
