Novice Division

Eagle Eye: TBA

Class 1: Kerk 00 and 2. 00 front rocker toe. 2 straight barshoe w/rocker toe. Appropriate nail.

Class 2: 11 1/2” of 3/8”x3/4”. Rolled toe and punched for Liberty 5 Combo Slim.

St. Croix rim, size 0, quarter clipped, heel checks, both shoes hammer finished.

Shoeing: Keg on foot, specimen TBA

Intermediate Division

Eagle eye: TBA

Class 1: 12 1/2” 3/8”x1” fully fullered, quarter clipped, appropriate nail.

12 1/2” 3/8”x7/8” concave, safed toe, quarter clipped, appropriate nail.

Class 2:  9 1/2” 3/8”x3/4” Plainstamped w/ rocker toe, Liberty 5 Race nail.

13” 3/8”x3/4” Barshoe

3/4 fullered, six nails, appropriate nail.

Class 3: AFA Journeyman Class (extended time and open mentor) pair fronts 3/8x3/4 12” toe clipped and pair of hinds 3/8x3/4 11 1/2” qtr clipped.

Shoeing: Plain stamp on foot, specimen TBA

Open Division

Eagle Eye: TBA

Forging 1: Collateral shoe 10” 1/4”x1”

Six nails, fullered lateral branch, plain punched medial, Liberty 5 Race nail.

Ranch horse slider 9” 3/8”x1”

Rocker toe, six nails, punched for Liberty 5 Race.

Forging 2: 12 1/2” 3/8”x7/8” concave.

Toe cap, appropriate nail.

13 1/2” 3/8”x7/8” concave, caulk and wedge, safes toe, quarter clipped. Appropriate nail.

Forging 3: Two man (intermediate striker)

Hot fitting tongs. Two pieces of 3/4” round, 5 1/2” long. 90 minutes.

Shoeing: 3/4 Fullered on foot. Specimen TBA
